Spring in the Triangle is a great time to get outside and enjoy the many local golf courses.

We all braved the Winter, some of us even played through. But now that Spring is upon us, I know I for one will be looking forward to many of these Golf Tournaments around the Raleigh and Cary area.

What can be better than getting out for some fresh air, meeting some new people and supporting a great cause!

Wake Tech’s Seventh Annual Athletic Golf Tournament
Date: April 24, 2015
Venue:  Eagle Ridge Golf Club

13th Garner Chiropractic Open Golf Tournament
Date: April 24, 2015
Venue: Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh - NC State University Campus
This year the tournament will continue to benefit children's health & wellness programs, the Choboy Tennis Academy @ NC State, children that have lost parents (or have been injured) during military duty (www.PatriotGolfDay), the Community of Hope Charity, and our newest addition...The Garner Chiropractic Players Scholarship, in cooperation with the Garner Trojan Club/Garner Magnet High School.

Another worthy cause is the American Institute of Architects Triangle Chapter Golf Tournament that raises money to provide a scholarship to an undergraduate student and a fellowship to a graduate student enrolled in the architecture program at North Carolina State University’s College of Design.

One of the biggest golf events of the year is the Rex Hospital Open. The Rex Hospital Open is part of the Web.com Tour, the playing field where future golf stars compete to earn their PGA TOUR cards. This is a great event for the whole family with a lot of different activities over the course of the week.

If you are looking for a more unique golf experience, try out this event. The Leisureman Triathalon was created for individuals who enjoy relaxing sports and a bit of friendly competition. Each event combines golf, bowling, and poker to provide participants with the ultimate “triathlon” experience.
