New Businesses and Restaurants Coming to Cary!
One sure sign of an improving local economy is the development of new commercial projects in the area. In general, commercial development projects are planned out years ahead of the curve, so they build based on a forecast of the economy. Unlike the resale housing market which is relatively short term and reactionary.Major development projects in Cary including retail shopping and new neighborhoods have already been in the works and completed in the past few years. Many even started in the midst of the financial crisis, further proving that developers saw future opportunity here. Publix - Anyone who has lived in or traveled to Florida will recognize this grocery store name. Publix will anchor the new Bradford shopping area located at the crossroads of Davis Drive and High House Road. Also planned, in the 16,600 square feet of small shop space and six retail outparcels, will be The Hand & Stone massage and facial spa and T.Mac Sports Grill. Other retailers have not been announced and space is available if you are thinking of opening a small business in this upscale area of town.
I Love This Bar & Grill - Toby Keith's signature restaurant is coming soon to Cary’s Parkside Town Commons. The restaurant will feature guitar-shaped bars, servers dressed like cowgirls, live country music and a Toby Keith-themed gift shops.
Blue Bell Creameries Distribution Center - This project has been in the works for more than a year and is now opening on Nelson Rd in Cary. The Texas based company first came to Charlotte and experienced such demand that they opened this second facility to service Eastern NC.
Olde Loft Antiques - Located in the former Fat Sounds building on Chapel Hill Rd in downtown Cary, the stores offers a unique mix of vintage and antique merchandise. Formerly operating out of a booth at the State Fairgrounds, with a growing clientele a storefront location was needed.
Waverly Place Restaurant & Shops - This upscale outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment venue off Kildare Farm Rd in Cary has become a huge favorite with locals since its opening a couple years ago. Anchored by Whole Foods and now offering several dining establishments, retail and weekly entertainment, the center has drawn in more retailers. CineBistro is slated to open in Fall of 2014 and will offer a unique in-theater dining experience. VOM FASS opened in January and is one of the fastest growing gourmet foods franchises showcasing oils, vinegars and spices from carefully selected artisans producing the best in the world. TOAST Café, a much need breakfast spot in the neighborhood features specialty breakfast options and a great drink selection. Whisk, a cool kitchen gadget store where you can pretty much anything you need for your culinary adventures.
