Small Changes that Make a Big Difference

Preparing Your Home For Sale

Are you considering selling your home, yet you look around and wonder how you can make your house look more appealing without spending a fortune?

Here are a few things you can do:

Begin with a walk through your home. Which rooms just need tidying and which ones need to be decluttered? Take a look around and decide what "things" you really could live without and will give your home more open space. Advertise them on Craigslist or do a garage sale and get rid of them. With the money from these items lets see what you can do
  • Focus on the finishing touches that can revitalize your space
  • Does one or many rooms need a fresh coat of paint?
  • Can the drapes be cleaned or do you need a more modern window covering?
  • If you need more light in a room - look for a big mirror that can reflect light
  • This would be the same principle for a small room - a mirror can make it feel so much bigger!
  • Replace old knobs on cupboard doors with lovely new ones
  • Add a shelf for more space instead of having busy counter tops
  • Put hooks up behind the door for extra hanging space for towels, robes, rain jackets, coats
  • Take a look at the floor covering. Does it need cleaning or replacing?
  • Clean the house from top to bottom and pack away so that your home is more appealing
Are you ready to get an agent in to value your home?

I would love to assist you with pricing and marketing your home. If you need some advice or a just a chat about market conditions - I am waiting to assist you.
