Downtown Apex has such charm and charisma and is just one of those "feel at home" type places. From the quirky and historic shops of Salem Street to the interesting and wonderful restaurants, you cannot help but love the good old small town charm of Apex.

The treelined streets leading up to the Town, then the historic homes and colorful buildings of Salem Street are the scene that welcome you into the Downtown area. With 60 buildings constructed between 1870 and 1940 Apex has been registered as an Historic District.

The town has its own Farmers Market which is housed right in Downtown Apex and the locals support the market and vice versa. On a Saturday morning through the summer (April thru September) you can come out and meet the local producers, arts and craft vendors, learn from the food artisans and tap your feet to the sounds of the local musicians. Complete the morning outing with lunch in one of the many pavement cafes and then never leave without a visit to The Rusty Bucket - a shopping experience you simply don't want to miss!

Apex is centrally situated to the Research Triangle Park and is an easy commute to RDU Airport. The schools in the area are fantastic and the small town charm is palpable.
